Review of uSquibble t-shirts

We were asked to review a couple of t-shirts from uSquibble and were given free choice over the designs available - I gave my boys the choice and they both picked the same design 'GO GREEN' - I wasn't upset about this as it is my favourite! I'm not sure that they understood the 'Tweet Me' design but it made me chuckle #twitterfan. I tried to persuade one of them to have the 'Smile' design (as I am a big fan of red!) but they were having none of it and insisted on the 'Go Green' t-shirt - I think that they just 'got' what it meant and therefore could relate to it. The t-shirts are all priced at £16.99 and currently that is all you can buy from this company but I have a feeling that their range will expand in the not too distant future.

Now - before I begin my review of the actual products, I think that you should know more about the company - as this is, in my opinion, just as important as the review of the actual products. uSquibble's strap line is 'Organic clothing designed by kids for kids' but what exactly does that mean? In a nutshell it means that all their designs have come from 'real' children and at least 25% of all profits go towards a child-based charity. In a nutshell, children supporting less fortunate children. I tried to explain this concept to my 4 year old and my 6 year old. I 'think' they got it - well at least I think that they got the fact that there are less well off children (perish the thought) than them. It made them think if nothing else and this is the beginning of empathetic thought. Currently, uSquibble are supporting MSIZIAFRICA.org.uk which provides food and shelter for children in Africa. I don't think that anyone would disagree that this is a worthy cause.

So - onto the t-shirts. They arrived in what can only be described as the best packaging I have ever had. Both t-shirts were packaged separately in their own box. Inside the box, the t-shirt was beautifully wrapped in tissue paper. I gave the boys their t-shirts to unwrap and they loved the experience. Before they even discovered what was inside - the contents were already in their eyes 'very special. You could say that for a young boy, a t-shirt is a t-shirt - but now they saw this t-shirt as 'special'. We were going to a children's bowling party a few days later and they already had this labelled as their 'party attire'.

They are well made t-shirts, there is no denying that. I always wash 'bright' colours for the first time with a Dylon 'colour catcher' as you just never know. But I have to say that the washing of these bright green t-shirts was very successful. The t-shirts fitted well and are true to size. The boys LOVE the design, as do I...in fact Sam, my 6 year old got the t-shirt out of the dirty washing basket as he wanted to wear it again.

Summary

At £16.99 on the outside these t-shirts may seem pretty expensive. BUT when you look into what you are actually paying for, you can see that not only do you get a product, you also get to donate money to a worthy cause. The quality of these organic t-shirts is fantastic. I love them. The boys love them. And you can never have too many t-shirts!

  1. Regardless of whether one is concerned or not about this planet and its environment, there are countless benefits to have organic T-Shirts for boys. It’s likely the majority of individuals who wear organic clothing, aren’t even aware of it. The one’s who do wear sustainable clothing, are aware, and are consciously making the effort to better the planet with their actions. Thanks
