Girl's Night In!

When I was younger I liked nothing more than a girl's night out.........and now I love just as much a girl's night in! Now - is that because I am older - or is it because I am married - or is it a bit of both?

A few weeks ago I went to see a friend in Yorkshire - ten years ago we would have been planning a night on the town - but now we were planning a night in with another girl friend. I found myself quite excited by this prospect - no men allowed - and a chance for a girlie gossip without the faff of getting dressed up, putting make-up on and quite frankly walking around in heels far too high...and in perishing North Yorkshire climate!

So - why do I love a girl's night in?

I love the fact that we can gossip - gossip - and gossip just a little more. I can assure you that all the men in our lives will have had burning ears that night...but shhh - don't tell them!
I love the fact that we can have a giggle - we know each other so well that we can talk about anything - literally anything. No holds barred.
I love the fact that we can drink wine without the massive bill we would have if we were in a swanky bar in town. I am partial to a glass of chilled pink fizz!!!
I love the fact that it is warm (yes - I am obviously getting old!).
I love the fact that there is no 'closing time' for a girlie night in. Even when we 'think' it's time to go to bed, it is in fact just time to find our PJs and carry on with the evening.

Am I alone in my love for a girlie night in?

No - I don't think I am - but please tell me below whether you love a girlie night in. A recent survey from Ladbrokes Bingo suggested that 69.9% of women would pick a girlie night in over a night on the tiles! I was quite shock by this figure - but also quite reassured. I'm normal!!!!

I can honestly say that my recent girls' night in was fantastic - we laughed and laughed and laughed. We vowed that we wouldn't leave it so long next time.

How we laughed.........

So what would you vote for....'girl's night in' or 'girl's night out'?
